Movie tanks.

Howdy!

Here's a couple of pictures of two beautifully made mock up tanks. They were used for movie making last summer. They are both constructed on T-55 chassis.

Are the mock-ups all done in cast iron and steel or other materials?
I was thinking of doing a mock-up with my M5A1 high speed tractor chassis.
Any other spacecraft or missile owners out there?

We do have a ISU-152 and two KV-1 tanks that are mechanically complete, but they are not in running condition. They have been in outside display for over 40 years now, but there are plans to restore them in near future. We did have three original running T-34's and two Stug assaultguns in the filming. And also couple of light tanks, a T-26 and a komsomoletz.

Acmack, both mock ups were made of plywood, glassfibre and plastic. The texture looks unbelievably real even from close distance. They even made all the weld seams using silicon putty.
