Apologies to those who already know this (I'm sure many of you do), but I received my Dataplates from Robert in todays mail and I had to put something on here about them...

They are simply superb!

Not only are the actual plates works of art, but Roberts attention to detail, use of correct font and even matching where the characters are stamped on the original plate have left me speechless. I'm especially happy that the replacement Frame Tag has the correct size characters for the serial number and Robert can even supply the tag to frame 'rivets'.

Now I've really got my work cut out, trying to restore my MB to a standard worthy of these dataplates!

I ordered one of Robert's plates for my MBT the other day. I am really looking forward to receiving it. I especially like how he follows the original by stamping the characters a little crooked and outside the box for the ORD stamping. That's paying attention to details.

Exactly Mike - that's why these are just so 'exact'. I'm sure you'll be over the moon with your MBT plate and the packaging will be superb aswell.

I now know where I'll be getting my stencils from aswell - when the time comes.

I just received an email from Robert regarding the data plates and stencils that I ordered from him. He said they are on their way to me and I can hardly wait. I have heard so many positive things about his plates. I also ordered a frame tag. Who says Christmas comes only once a year!!!

My Hood stencils arrived from Robert today and look great! They are in an easy to use stick-and-peel format and will be a nice complement to the data plates already installed. Thanks, Robert!

I believe Robert is doing the best work out there in data plate stamping. I only see a few minor differences in the plate that he stamped for Chris.

One word that describe Roberts plates: EXCELLENT !!!!!!

When I came home yesterday I found a envelope from Robert in the mailbox He had made a PERFECT copy of my slatgrill frame tag and to top that he had found the "correct" rivets(drive screws)

Thanks very much for all the feedback you gave me. For me that is very important, because this gives me the stimulus to continue making the plates. I have put an great deal of time and trouble to get it on this level of quality.

Did the style/font of the # 1 change between serial number 119284 and 122876?

Hello Tom,

The # 1 changed when they started to use the frame plates with the MB prefix in front of the number. (and also some other ciphers did changed at that time).

The original tag and the repro seem to have different style dashes, or is it my eyes?

Hi Jon,

Your right, but the repro plate is without the MB prefix and the picture of the original is with the MB prefix, that's why they are different as I explained in my previous reply.
