Whoa. Some decent looking vehicles in that collection.

I'm not particularly good at this, but on the GPW I see a T90 tranny and I suspect it might be a repo tub.

There are several other vehicles, they are ding multiple auctions, I really question this auction house's logic, the WC63 frame is for sale, but you can see the body in the background, it will be auctioned later?

I was interested in one of the tugs, but they never answered my questions, I hope they enjoy the $14 commission...

Look at it this way, this will most likely generate some new G503 members, some happy and some with long faces with many Jeep questions about their new purchase..

$33,000 closing bid seems low!

The $15,000 for the "GPW" seems high...

I'm not sure that I'd call that a GPW either. It has post war wheels, a postwar engine, a post war transmission, maybe a repro body. If the body isn't real, I'm doubtful that any of the bolt-on parts are either. The only thing that may be original is the frame, although it isn't clear if its a GPW or an MB frame, as the title and repro dataplates seem to be in conflict with one another. I'm betting that this thing is 80%+ post war. So....what the hell is it? I'm not seeing $15,000 there, but if the buyer is happy, that's all that matters I guess.

I don't know what I'd do with one but for that price I'd find something. I thought the same thing

And yeah nirvana, that why I had the GPW in quotes, didn't look like too much there that was war time, but like you said, "if the buyer is happy."

I was going to bid on one of the tugs, but I could never get them to reply to me on the pick up times, using the pick up date and time listed on the site, I would have had to be on the road before I knew for sure I won the auction. They said no weekend pickup and never replied to me about picking up the following week.
One of my friends went down there for the preview and said there were many more vehicles and parts that would be auctioned in the future.
Way to make it worthwhile for those of us located some distance away...

I know right. I would have used it for a snow plow. And I live in Oklahoma.
