Windshield adjusting arm stud?
I am trying to correct a Bubba. Can anyone tell me where the stud for the windshield adjusting arm is welded to the bracket? I know the outside is swagged, but can't find any info on how it was spot welded. A picture would be great.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Windshield adjusting arm stud?
A big thank you!!!
Now that is what I was talking about. Thanks Farrell Fox, that's exactly what I needed. Now I can set the studs and weld them like the factory did.

Re: Windshield adjusting arm stud?
Hello all,
I'm removing the Hotchkiss windshield assembly that if fitted to my '44 MB as a temporary fix about 13yrs ago, and restoring the original one.
On my original screen the adjusting arms were missing so I only have the Hotchkiss one to go by. My question is ... what holds the adjusting arms to the INNER frame on an original wartime screen please.
Thanks
Kings

This bracket (Windshield bracket adjusting arm with bushing -A4300) is bolted to the inner frame.
You can see it in the bottom photo of Farrell Fox's post.
Hope this helps.

Re: Windshield adjusting arm stud?
Hello and thanks for the reply. Sorry I didn't explain correctly. I have that part on the inner frame. I'll try again.
In the pics above it looks like a screw that screws through the adjusting arm. Obviously with a step on it so the arm is free to move.
On my Hotchkiss screen it's Stud/rivet.
Thanks all
