Does anyone have a source for the banjo knuckle seals?
GM part no. GM 2199823 for the set and NSN 5330-00-741-1304 or just 7411304.
Not looking to pay $60 each if that helps. Thanks--Rick

Re: Banjo knuckle seal kits
It's a sign of the times and some of the older established dealers have partial kits that they have had made. Price is over $60.00 tho. Best to find a friend in Europe.

Re: Banjo knuckle seal kits
Hi Rick. I have re-sealed the front Banjo axle at least 10 times. Mostly in the Chevy, but several Jimmy's as well. I currently own a Chevy and your query has spurned me to seek out some knuckle seal kits because the well looks to running low, so thanks for your post. Memphis Equipment has the seal kit you are asking about, which is where I am sure you found the part number. My opinion is that $60.00 per seal is a fair price. I have used the knuckle seal kits for G-749 series trucks, M-135 & M-211, and they perform very well and last for a long time to boot.
When I bought my first Chevy in 1995, I found the prices for knuckle seal kits to be around $45.00 each. They were N.O.S. dated 1952 and specifically for the Jimmy. A guy I used to get them from jacked the price up to $90.00 each just after I sold my first Chevy and I thought that that was just highway robbery.
As Ben suggested, you may try to find some in Europe and hopefully the task won't be too daunting. Other than that, the only other suggestion I have to offer is Tom Dienst @ Vehicles of Victory.com. He sold some to me to install in a Jimmy I worked on several years ago, I think they were $85.00 each.
Well, good luck and keep us updated on your quest!
P.S. On a side note. If you are looking for shift shaft seals for your transfer case I just purchased 6. The part number is; National Oil Seal #240816. Dimensions are 0.750 X 1.062 X 0.187.

Re: Banjo knuckle seal kits
Except for the Front axle drive flange gasket, the "M-Series" Wiper Seal Kit is the same as G-506, Banjo G-508, and Dukw. DUKW owners have been the heavy users of these kits.

Re: Banjo knuckle seal kits
Are you including the M-35 trucks when you say "M" series, Ben? Because I think you may have to double check your T.M.'s on this one.

Re: Banjo knuckle seal kits
M-Series is a broad term, in this case I meant the G-749, M-135/M-211 GMC which uses the same exact wiper seal components except for the front axle drive flange gaskets.

Re: Banjo knuckle seal kits
That is exactly what I had written in my post and wanting to be more specific, of course. Using a your "broad term" is misleading to someone who is looking for a specific item. He may go out an purchase front knuckle seal kits for an M-939 not knowing they won't work, due directly to your "broad term".
Come on Ben, tighten it up a bit buddy. I know that's what you are good at.
