Using a car tow dolly with a M151

Post by TimK.43mb » Thu Jul 13, 2017 12:04 pm

Any suggestions for using a car tow dolly to tow a M151A2? Problems, things to look out for, etc. Thanks

You can leave the rear driveshaft in but if you are going long distance I suggest you unbolt it from the differential and secure it tightly so that it does not pull out of the transmission and dump all of the oil. Or pull the shaft altogether and rig some way to hold the yoke in the transmission. Then be sure to grease the rear axles well since you will probably be going much faster than this thing was designed to go. Be sure the rear axle bearings are in good shape also.
