1961 m151 jeep harness

Post by m151jeep61 » Thu Nov 16, 2017 12:52 pm

Looking for M151 Front wiring harness. I have a 1961 Ford M151. Mechanic removed the old harness and left in a mess. Has Regulator on fender with the large generator 25 Amp. I found A2 harness and may upgrade to 60 amp alternator. No one around here works on these jeeps or just unfamiliar with 24 volt systems ect. Any advice or help. Should I keep original or up grade. Can't find harness for mine. Thanks

You will not find a good A1 harness for anywhere near a decent price. Your best bet is to either upgrade to the 60 amp and modify the A2 harness for the fuel pump or forego the safety switch and tie the fuel pump into the A2 harness wiper wire. You can also modify the A2 harness to use the 25 amp generator.
