Truly beautiful workmanship! Simply for your information: My 45 Willys MB came with the same, exact air cleaner and its been in the family since the War. For that reason, I'm keeping it that way. Cordially, Redfeather

Redfeather,
Thank you for your nice comment. I was wondering what year your family purchased your Jeep?

I have been keeping busy finishing up on some small but time consuming projects.
I had to make a pin to replace the one on the transmission gearshift. It seemed to turn our pretty well and I am happy with it.
I also have finished rebuilding the axles, springs, and getting close to putting it on getting everything below the frame finished.
I am getting into some bigger money items now so it may slow down a bit.
Here are some photos of some of my completed projects.
I have also included some tub photos and that will be the next thing I tackle.

Did you cut that shift cane pivot pin down to the correct length?

So I was looking at my rims over the weekend and was told they are Ford rims. Three of the rims are riveted and one is welded. Is there any value here or should I set them on the street for the metal collectors or offer them up on a Ford forum?
Thanks for your comments.

Here is an update on my project.
I got my tub back from the blaster after being there for a month. We had three heavy rains in Indy and it put my tub under 3 foot of water twice and 5 foot once. We were waiting on a 2 day window without rain in the forecast to get it blasted and then home.
I knew there was a lot of fiberglass repairs but I am surprised at how bad it was and how pitted it was. I am wondering now if I shouldn't have bought a replacement tub... I guess I will find out more of what I need as I take it apart.

Your tub will stand some work but from your previous posts your welding skills and equipment at your disposal you'll overcome!!!. I've seen worse on here brought back from the dead restored beats replaced hands down every time. Yours is only slightly worse than mine was but a couple of patch panels welded in it will take shape in no time. I even got to enjoy making patch parts in the end. Be sure to post your progress photos I need to post my restoration some time too.
Keep up the good work

I've been pretty busy working on the tub since last fall. I ended up replacing the front and back floor and fabricating new wheel wells. I spent far too long on the front floor and if I had to do it over I would buy the completed front floor. I would probably be finished with the tub had I done that.
I will try and post some of my photos in the next few days.
I did figure out 10 minutes of welding translates to about 1 hour of grinding.

Okay here are a few photos of what I have been up to since the last update almost a year ago.
When the tub came back I made the decision to save as much as the original metal as I could. Both front and rear floors were so far gone that I had to replace those. I use Jon's Jeep Draw drawings to fabricate the front floor and many of the other smaller pieces. I bought the hat channel, riser and back floor. I bought the riser because I wanted one part I knew was correct.
Anyway here are some of the photos.
My glovebox did not have an inside due to a heater being installed at some point. Thank you to G503 member Brett who had one that I put to use.
You can see the bulge from where they pounded in the firewall. I decide to leave it as is and build an internal wall around the bulge. What were they thinking?

I used the old toolbox lock depressions on the new wheel wells.
It has come a long way and I test fitted the front seats today and welded on the seat support brackets that mount on the wheel wells tonight.

Outstanding onaway! Great job with the metal work, looks really good. I know that original tub had a lot of rough spots but very nice effort saving it and getting the new pieces in.
