Thanks! I also use those red hooks you can buy for dirt cheap to hold my manual open against the wall when I'm working at the table :D

So for the past 2 weekends, the parents and I were working on the terrain for the sceptic tank replacement. Thankfully, I skipped the weekend where the guys came in to do the work, it's all around the garage and the sceptic tank pump is right in front of the garage. It would've smelled terrible!

I also had to have the roof changed at my home as well as replacing the car suspension after I blew not one but two of my coilovers shocks. So funds are a bit tight at the moment, I'm going through the parts bin and cleaning up stuff.

I pulled all the guages from the dash. Unfortunately, I had to cut the speedo cable and the ammeter broke off one of the connectors on the rear :(

Also found out an original plate to go under the transmission hiding under the T-90 that was in the jeep originally. I thought it was a scrap piece of steel until I degreased it and saw a lot of olive drab!

Image

Also cleaned up my driveshafts, I thought they weren't correct for my T-84 but found plenty of Spicer markings and even a F stamp! Funny, my rear driveshaft ujoint w/ spicer caps didn't have no snap rings or cir-clips! That would've been an interesting failure at 45mph!

I messed up a bit though. The rear driveshaft has an arrow to match for indexing the yoke to the rest but the front does not and I didn't mark it :(
Any clue how to index it properly?

Also drilled the two holes in the front bumper for Fords

The position that they are in is correct. (The picture of both drive shafts laying on the sheet of cardboard.)

Hi Roger,

Ah good to know, I just assembled them quickly for the photo. Since the two ends of the front driveshaft won't sit exactly 100% flat, is it only 1 "spline teeth" off center or is there a definitive amount of teeth from flat I should get it to? There's a dot on the slidy-part (yoke?) but I couldn't find one near the splines.

Well the piggy-bank is still empty and I hadn't been in the shed for 3 weeks so I just pulled stuff apart and installed cotter pins pretty much everywhere to keep me busy. I'll have to sort out a solution for the brake pedals, it has a Crimp One Off of sideplay to it and yes I,ve got the washer installed.

Engine seems in pretty good nick for one that hasn't spun in 10yrs.
Also sorted out a clip to hold the rear axle brake line using an old one used on the front diff. It works Iguess :)

Looking good. My 42 is about at the same stage. Look forward to more progress pictures.

Thanks! Money is a bit in a short supply at the moment so progress is slow!

I'm happy that the tub fits the repairs I did on the frame with no issues. Pulled the "tailgate", that'll be project numero uno, trying to straighten it and salvage some of my rear panel

The shaft ends need to be "flat". You may need to find a different yoke.
Is it true real Jeeps have flat fenders?
Alone cannot you it resist!

I'll mess with it, maybe I'm just 180off!

Been slow going as of the last weeks, got a "golfer's elbow" even though I never played golf! Can barely move my right arm :(

No joke, the past 35-40cm snowfall was the cause!

I should've left my car there...

I did buy a full set of (cheap) body hammers & dollies, a shrinking disc and a spotweld cutter.

As soon as I'm back with fully working limbs, I should get busy!
