Wow! that's fantastic! It even has the (Normandy?) landing mark on the windscreen (the horizontal stripes). I am sure somebody can tell you what it means. Congratulations!

I'd love to live in your country.
here, when you find a jeep, it's really a wreck
especially on the East Coast.

Nice!! Uncovering those markings will be really uncovering history. I sometimes feel like the jeeps we find stateside were only used for beer runs... :D

LOL!

Where's the "Like" button?

That is the funniest line I've read in this forum.

very well done!

i make the hood number as 20457599...

the windshield skin appears to have 'Messenger' stenciled on it...

I cant read the full engine number, but first three digits are 335 and could be the original..

what is the body tub number...I think this is an all matching set of numbers...

Guillaume,

Great find, and most interesting pictures.
The body looks very solid and straight. Really awesome.
The climate must be very kind in your part of Europe, since the beautiful miss still smiles even she's stored outside :D :D

Many of us would say this is a jeep is a preservation candidate. They are far to seldom you know.
There's a big knowledge and historical value in keeping such treasures "as is". Hope you can make it Guillaume, and find all the support you need in how to do it here.

Thanks for sharing your pictures, and for taking care of her

Hello Guillaume,

Super find and again welcome to G503!! The MVPA sells a book that lists the Normandy codes by number, stripes and unit. It is listed in the Supply Room at this link https://netforum.avectra.com/eweb/shopp ... e6d73233f1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; .
