Steering and front brakes will be restored.

I put down the gearboxes and straightened the crosses gearboxes.

I believe the gear box serial number is the date of the built of the box, "D" is for the forth month of the year , "44" the year, so the box should be dated of April 1944. the insideof the gear box looks pretty nice! maybe the first reverse pinion is appear dammaged.
Is there any play on the bearing seats Front and rear of the gera box?

What's the casting date and serial number on the data tag of you transfer case?
