Correct the jeep was sold ... but as you see it came back on the market.
Yes there is a complete MB Engine # MB 229569 that go with the jeep.
The Jeep is complete with all original parts.

That's one very nice original jeep you've got yourself there George, thanks for posting. Please record everything you can as these time capsule jeeps are rare and so important to those with less well preserved projects.
Your jeep is very close in numbers to my MB 210793 so I'm sure I'll have some questions for you! What are your plans for this beauty?
Cheers,
Dave

Re: Very nice unrestored MB 1943 : For SALE
Thanks Dave ever since I was a little boy I wanted a Jeep when I fell over this MB it hit me that I must have it and take special care of this remarkable piece of history, Everything that has pass my hand had the 100% restoration treatment BUT" not this little fella one thing that I have found is to bring it back to working order and not take away is time and weather beaten look is an art to itself? so I need to take time and move slowly with it,sutts wrote:That's one very nice original jeep you've got yourself there George, thanks for posting. and happy and next year is the 100th anniversary ANZAC march and the wolfhound will there' I have lots and lots of photos that I will be putting up
so this Jeep will stay just as it"
shame that the original back lights, dash gages, hand crank, generator, jack, were remove from the back of the Jeep by some dip Crimp One Off so I am fining old similar looking parts to replace
Cheers

Thanks for the extra pics, please keep em coming as you progress. I just love the faded OD - almost impossible to replicate.

Re: Very nice unrestored MB 1943 : For SALE
Tell me about it the more I touch it the worse I feel just the oil from my hands gives it a shine in the oxidised OD dammed if I do and dammed if I don't looking back I should not have painted the brake backing plates and the front brake line protectors? still its ok and I hade to put a little paid on parts and the rims to cover up what looks like post war civilian colour green .

Yes, it must be a real balancing act when you have a jeep as nice as this - makes everything harder in a way. Suppose I should be thankful my jeeps were messed around with - I can blast with a clean conscience.
Will be worth it when you go to shows and everyone is ignoring the pristine factory restored jeeps in favour of your "old soldier".

George,
You mention Anzac day so are in in Australia or NZ?
By the way that is a very nice Jeep and I am glad you are making it safe and preserving it at the same time.
