Looking at what remains of the dataplate it must have been a late MB with an " F " marked GPW front bumper.

Am I right ?

Yes you are correct , i have the plate framed but it falls apart as we speak.. It was in bad shape anyhow.
The bumper is definately Ford. It has a star painted in the middle of the bumper, but verry faint.

hi Robin,

Camp Top Hat was a topic on Belgian tv this or last year.

I've got the book of that program and found two interesting pictures. The first one is the making of. Sorry, but no picture of the jeep where you got the relics from.

They asked us to bring some relics to show on the television program , but i guess they were not good enough since they did not broadcast it.
I have a picture of a MP jeep on a bridge near Antwerp , it had an accident....maybe it's the same one...we'll never know 100%.

Under the soccer field near the camp site, there are still LOADS of vehicles buried , some university did a huge scan of the area with modern equipment.

If those parts came from the same jeep, it's an MB which has been through a rebuild program. The combination of MB frame, Ford front bumper and non-flat top grille were never combined at the factory. Really cool pics, keep them coming!

Hahaha. I don't think these metal detecting finds are nice relics. They are just rusty metals.
