I have the following: GPW 13840, 04-05-42 (est), hood number- 2068617 (est). Original speedometer and instruments, script tub, original 3 groove GPW marked radiator, MB spring clips front, GPW rear. Currently undergoing restoration and de-bubbafication down South. Please add it to the list.

I am pretty sure I have 1999 in my shed. I remember that the motor number and the frame number matched the number on the glove box. It has a bunch of stuff piled on it and has for years. It has some of the original Ford tires as I recall.
I have the original keys as well. I should try to take some pictures.
My original USA number is

and is still visible.

From my GPW studies hood number 2055470 should have come from the Dearborn, Mi. assembly plant in mid Feb. 42.

It says 1999. Easier to read the other side of the hood for USA # but harder to photograph. If it was not snake season.....

1942 GPW Script
Hello,
Our VEP
s/n 4038,DOD unknown, est reg # 2064038, missing data plates, Willys Frame with serial number stamped between the rivets of the frame and untouched Willys serial number plate mounting holes on drivers side Willys frame horn, Ford Script on rear panel. GPW over F on inside of glove box on firewall, GPW over F on tub under the drivers seat, F marked grill without the indent on top of grill, Ford hood, replacement M38 Willys engine with 1957 Calif. rebuild depot placard on drivers side of block, 6 volt system with trailer plug and reinforcement flanges welded on inside of tool box, 5 combat rims with R and L marked studs and lugnuts. and many F body parts with F marked pintle hitch with faint ford imprinted on side of pintle hitch. F marked accelerator pedal, Jeep displayed at Ohio MVPA convention in 2006. 2 year restoration project and Deb painted the jeep. Used unit markings from her father's Division in WW2 when he crossed the Remagen bridge, Named her Lil' Deb and she drives great.
