Maybe more of a garage find as owner was trying to get her running. 20 year old gas, or varnish or shellac. It still stinks. Haven't checked the engine or frame number yet. Glove box door is locked. Engine does turn and sputter on starting fluid.
Really only bought her to get the cross over tube bracket and brown cap.
Title matches glove box plates, I dont know what all that stuff holding the plate on is about.

While the title and data plate may match, the question is if the title and the FRAME NUMBER match...or even if the motor number and title match. Simply put, the idea is to prevent anyone from putting that glove box door on someone ELSES recently restored jeep and calling it "MINE!".
You see guys selling titles and data plates and sometimes a title with a matching data plate.....don't mean diddly-squat to the DMV....all you got was a title to some long-gone jeep. Guys who are desperate to register a vehicle buy titles all the time...that don't make it LEGAL. Wait till some guy who knows an owner jut bought a title and data plate and had no frame or motor number on the title/registraion decides to steal the jeep. Boom...he tosses the data plate, buys a repop data plate and registers that jeep using the FRAME NUMBER and...voila! He owns it.
However...if the frame number matches the title/registration and the data plate and the motor number....you got a winner there!

Got back to this today, Engine vin matches. Didnt look for the casting date yet. Too much grease and cow poo on the engine.
F script scalloped rear axles. Frame is shot, rusted through in a few places. Remains of back body is gone. Windshield Frame is prety much toast. Got the right fender off. Started to rain so took the old title to DMV to get it in my name.
