To All:
Here is a site where there are LOTS of period photos of jeeps with hood numbers. While I was trying to determine my hood number which was sanded off, I looked at the different fonts and was able to almost get it exact.

The site is in Hungarian I think; and you can go to Google Translate to copy/paste the words to see what is written.

The original photo could possibly be at Camp McCoy. However I have some photographs of my grandfather from the various bases when his division was training. Many of them have the same developer stamp on the back. Id imagine they just had the negatuves developed in their hometown when they were on leave.
