tool box ribs on 42 gpw
I have read some posts on g503 about the ribs near the tool boxs on 1942 gpws one said they first appeared in may of 1942 another said they appeared after build number 9700 of march 1942 another said that ford had more than one plant making jeeps and one plant may have used the rib tubs as early as march 42 and the other plants may have waited until they had used up there existing parts before they used these tubs which one is correct or are all of them wright thanks 7810

Hi ford7810,
When I put " tool box ribs " into the search box, five posts come up and three of them are from this thread.

Re: tool box ribs on 42 gpw
It would be good to hear from some folks who have Dearborn sourced GPWs around April- June 42 re absence or presence of ribs, as I would expect, any body changes from the Lincoln plant would have entered production there first?
