F marked Scalloped axles SOLD

Post by roblenzz » Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:39 pm

I have a set of Script Ford, Scalloped axles for sale. They are in good condition with the exception of some pitting in the inner seal area, mainly on one of the axles. Was asking $400 but they are SOLD...

Great axles and a speedy sleeve would fix those seal areas up nicely.

Pesonnally, I dont need to know what the negotiated price was, but it aggrivates the snot out of me when people delete the asking price.

Take Scalloped axles as an example. I don't recall the last time any sold, so this posting would be the only recent offering someone could use to gauge potential market value. "Sold" is not an adequate market value.

I was asking $400. Sorry to aggravate you... I do that so the moderators will delete the thread as to not clog up the for sale section. Used to be an option to delete the thread as the OP but i do not see that any more. Guess this is better than not seeing it at all

Maybe not in this instance (or maybe so) but if I was just looking for a quick sale and just unloading parts, doesn't this actually hurt the market value of potential people trying to sell their axles by now knowing what they actually went for?

Possibly. I didn't ask you to disclose the negotiated price for that reason. The last scalloped axles I remember seeing were in the neighborhood of $150 each, and IIRC, that was the "short side".

I find it interesting that complete axles sell for $150-200, but are worth far more parted out, as illustrated by the axles you've just sold.

Got ya, Thanks and sorry for the deviation here. I'll mark my further sales better after they close.
