Nah...no sweat...sometimes the additional posts get the eye of someone and they remember something. We don't have anything definitifve, just a few owners who have found that style in VVEP GPWs (OK, under 1,000 I guess) and Sean's article which has nothing in it to tell us how he arrived at that statement there were some of this style used EARLY in GPWs.

You'd think with all the GPWs on the Serial Number List on G503 under GPW-1000 that someone might see this or contact an owner to find out what kind of gauges ( SW paIntcan or SW standard) or speedo (SW/KS/Autolite/Motometer/Long needle/Counterbalanced needle) their project originally CAME with.

I know it isn't a guarantee of what the factory installed but in some instances these jeeps are found fairly complete and the info would be of some interest in figuring out what those first GPWs came with.

Right here in this very thread, as a matter of fact. You folks are watching "history" be made.

These are found with a WWII date code on them so they were used.....

Mine is dated "L11"....or Nov. 1943. Standard looking rear of the case and a BRASS bezel!
