I have a question,
Did the Ford made GPW bodys have 2 machine screw tap holes or 4 machine screw tap holes for mounting the axe head bracket?
The DRMO fork lift had crunched that section when they loaded it into my dads borrowed pickup, and being the young buck I was at the time in 1970, I fixed it with body plastic. I have the original bent- up 2 hole bracket and now I would like to repair the body corner correctly. I got drawings from Jon, but I'm not sure if the number of holes were the same for the Ford -built bodies as the Willys / ACM ones in the drawings.
regards, Dave

Re: Axe head bracket mount holes
Wow Dave, i'm nobody has answered before.
I am sure that all Ford tubs had just the 2 holes in the body. It is a tapping plate that is welded on. The 2 or 4 screw thing is on the axe bracket itself, it has been disgust before and some of the ideas are for different sizes of axe.
Regards,
Dave
