CAMP DELTA FALL 9/19- 9/24 , 2017

Post by mfrance » Fri Aug 11, 2017 2:00 pm

September 19 - 24, 2017 - Fall Meet at Camp Delta. The second largest annual swap meet and MV gathering in the West. Due to ownership changes and renovations, our event is being planned for the campgrounds 1, 2, and 3 areas next to the levee road. Jellystone is requiring a 50% down payment as a deposit. The remaining 50% is due at check-in. There will be NO charge for day visitors and NO charge for parking on the levee. If you are coming for the day please pay attention to where you park as parking by the boat sheds is for boat owners and will be a tow-away zone for us. As of this writing there are only a few cabins and sites available. If you are planning on coming please contact Jo-Ann Lesser @ 408-238-8277.

The Camp Delta at Tower Park Fall swap meet and MV gathering is returning to Tower Park Resort! 14900 W. Hwy 12, Lodi, CA, six miles west of I-5 where the hotels are. No vendor charge, just your campsite rental. No day-user fee or charge to park on the adjacent, shady levee. There is a user fee and wristband if you want to use the pools, spa. No day-user parking inside the campground unless in your friends campsite - use the levee. Trailer parking is available by the Tower Park entrance - don't store it on the levee taking up valuable parking space. Officially it's a Tuesday-Sunday event but Sunday is a pull out day. Some "early birds" arrive before Tuesday to watch the buildup.

This year is centered in Campground 2 and it's southern extension Campground 3. These are adjacent to the levee and close to the store, restaurant/bar, Sunset Sweets, and the marina. Lots of shade and the roads are paved, so little dust. Regulars know the past Fall meets have been centered in Campground 4, but with the pools and family play areas there, the management used to place many non-MV campers amongst our people - not the best for an event. So 2 and 3 should work well. Many campers preferred this area during bigger April meets which you may know moved to a nice KOA campground in Petaluma, CA at the end of April.

NOTE: The cut off date for MVCC group rates and deposits on reserved sites is August 17.
