Help identify Spare tire bracket

Post by Ladislav » Sat Jan 13, 2018 11:11 pm

I was going to install the restored Spare tire bracket to my MA, but could see suddenly there are no holes in the central plate like on MA/early MB bracket with 3 studs. This came along with my MA but don't know 100% the origin of the bracket.
Do you know what bracket it is?
Thanks, Lad.

The bay one looks like a two stud one that has been changed to three stud.

Yes you are right that in the auction was changed from 2 studs to 3. But I couldn’t see any traces after the 2 studs on mine. Maybe mine was also changed???
Just was interested if someone has seen such one...
thanks.

Lad:
Very interesting spare tire bracket. It looks original.
Possible early MA bracket before the holes were added?

I have removed the paint in the places where the original studs of 2-studs bracket should be located, but think there are no traces after welding, just rust pittings...?? see pics.
Or is this bracker a discard?
