Re: Russian Bantam
Thanks Lad...it is getting rarer and rarer to find anything new about Bantams...forget no barn finds and zero parts, you can’t even find an old snapshot on eBay anymore. Best hopes for new discoveries seem to be, like this one, Russian Bantams...But has anyone checked out the regimental histories of Indian units? Preliminary indications are that at least some of the first new jeeps arriving in Cairo were put in the hands of these units as Wavell marched across North Africa....anyone have an in with Indian military historians? Guessing there are some photos, given what has been dug up in England...there is also a picture of a Bantam on its way to Sicily in the hold of a ship...keep looking. Thanks again.
