The website says its Willys plant, but something made me think these were GP's?

They look like GP's to me... Check out the reflectors, headlight hinge, radiator, grab handles, windshield, etc.

Bent bar tires = Firestone...
This photo was taken at the Ford Rouge Plant and is of the first contract . This was the first assembly line for the GP's. The later GP's were built on a different line which was also used for the GPW.
Interesting thing in this photo is each vehicle has a "blanket" on the front fenders to keep them from being scratched as the motor bay was finished.
