Early CJ5 steering box in an M38A1?

Post by wardo74 » Thu Dec 06, 2012 12:39 pm

I'm just wondering if the early CJ5 steering gearbox would fit in an M38A1. I know Midwest military has one, but I don't have the money for it and I can't find one anywhere else. Anyone know if they are compatible?

It will bolt right in, it is not as robust, but fits just fine. The drag link will fit up as the CJ pitman Arm Ball is the same diameter as that on the M-38A1.
