So, I've picked up a '45 MB and am trying to decide what to do with it. I'm a Navy vet so I'm leaning toward turning it into a Navy jeep. Only identification I have on it is the frame number as the body number is unreadable and the engine is a later CJ engine from the looks of it. What will I need to do to get it up to snuff as a Navy jeep? Matte Grey paint obviously (thinking about taking the tub off as I work on it so it'd be a good time to paint the frame and undersides), lifting points front and back, what else? Shovel and axe need to stay or go? How about hood numbers, what is an appropriate range for a '45?
Whatever information you have, let it fly! I'm interested in it all.
