I think there is a Shackelton in the US (owned by Air Atlantic from the UK) but it is the MR2 taildragger version.
The one in South Africa only has 75 hours of airframe life left and therefore it is seldom flown. A bigger problem though is finding rated crew and qualified technical support. It is still owned by the SA Airforce and therefore everthing is done 100% "to the book" and I am told that all instruments, radar, radios etc etc are all original and working. The current plan is to retire the aircraft in 2008 after 50 years service in the SAAF.

I saw a Shackleton in England at an air museum, but I have forgotten wher it was. Very interesting aircraft. It was parked along side a SAC, B52 and it still had the twin Cannons sticking out the front end.

There is a non airworthy Shackelton at the Duxford Aviation Museum in the UK ..however there may also be other non airworthy examples in other UK museums as well.
Besides the airworthy Shackelton in SA, there are also three other preserved examples here... 2 in museums, and one mounted on top of a petrol (gas) station roof.

Shackletons
Hi
There used to be two (I think they are probably still there) at Valance Byways, which is more or less at the end of the runway at Gatwick (London).
We used to do a vehicle show there and they would start one up. Great fun but the Health and Safety 'Police' put a stop to it.
