ID Gun Sight
Black w/fine krinkle finish. Tag states: US ARMY AIR FORCES GUN SIGHT Type N-3C Then a series of numbers: 93-24817 A.No dates that I can see..though lots of little inspector stamps inside and out. Could this be a WWII item? it looks too new to be that old but that's why I'm posting.

Re: ID Gun Sight
Dan,
Nearly anything marked US Army Air Forces is WWII. The USAAF ceased to exist in 1947 when the Department of the Air Force was created. This sight was used primarily in the B-29 sighting stations but was also used on late-WWII fighter planes.

Re: ID Gun Sight
so, what is the guesstimated value of a Aircraft gunsight that may/may not function?
I'd be neat to rig this up to the M3AC... but the more I think about it, the more it seems like a pretty big undertaking. The Eotech works pretty well.
