FS: WWII Ceiling Light Set AN/TMQ-2

Post by Steve Greenberg » Thu Jan 26, 2012 4:58 pm

Hello,
For Sale: WWII Ceiling Light Set AN/TMQ-2. It is complete with the original manual TM 11-2416 dated Jan. 1945, AC power supply and hand crank generator set G-5/TMQ-2 and a couple spare light bulbs. The clinometer is missing. It is in like new condition. The light is 24 inches in diameter. This light is used to determine cloud heights up to 10,000 feet. It is rated at 2,500,000 candle power! The last time I fired it up it worked just fine. $2,250 plus shipping. It is very heavy. Located in Portland, Oregon
Thanks,
Steve 8)

Steve,
If you talk to any potential owner in the West and he/she is looking for a place to show it off to a lot of military history fans, there might be a military lighting showcase at the Spring Camp Plymouth meet in April. Flashlights to 60 inch WWII. Demo one night, maybe in the amphitheater, one by one. If the Ft. MacArthur folks commit to bring one of their 60" sets that will seal the decision, subject to approval by the MVCC.

Hi Steve
Thanks for the reply.
I reached out to a member on the Candel Power Forum.
He is into all kinds of search lights and big beam lights.
Hopefully he didn't already buy one of the other 3.
He goes by BVH on that board.
If he replies to me I will try and get you a contact # or contact info for you.
