Clicking noise left front of my scout when making sharp turns

Post by harold dawley » Sat Nov 04, 2017 3:10 pm

I have a 42 Scout and since I bought it around 5 or 6 years ago and my son and I restored it a clicking noise is made whenever I turn sharply. We never investigated the noise as it only happens when a sharp turn is made. It sound like a chipped tooth on a gear somewhere but I'm just guessing. I am getting ready to advertise it for sale and would like to fix the clicking noise if possible.

Anybody have any ideas?

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

The front axles are turning whether in 4wd or not. The noise you are talking of is associated with the front axles CV arrangement.

Understand how system parts interact with one another. GOOD parts can then be established & the NOT GOOD problem/s part/s isolated for repair or replacement.
