WTK: Anyone interested in REPRO PROTECTOSCOPES?
I am communicating with several manufacturers of Plexiglas components. They are telling elm they can cast the Plexiglas blocks and cast the black end shields and stick on a plated plastic ‘mirror’ to accomplish the PROTECTOSCOPE device that is in every vision block of the M8 armored car.
I have a bad one I have sent around to some manufacturers. I have asked them for a bid on 50 unit and 100 unit runs.
What would an original one in good condition sell for? I need that info for a guide to what the repros are worth and whether I should go forward with the project. I also need a handle on what it’s going to cost me to reproduce. A price range for recent purchases would be helpful….I may send this out to a FUND ME page if it is markedly expensive. I’m In for four of the darn things if I can get them made….Let me know who wants them and how many…..you’re not locked in, won’t hold you to the guestimate…..Just want to get a feeling for how many I should get made. Will post and estimated price based on the manufacturers’ estimate when I get it.

Are they the same for an M3A1 Stuart tank? Either the ones that go in the pistol port doors on the turret or the one in front for the driver?

We would be interested in 2 to 4 of these depending on unit price. Thanks Dan!

Re: WTK: Anyone interested in REPRO PROTECTOSCOPES?
I found my own answer in the TM...3 per box plus the 2 in the mounts. SO...as I have 2 good ones...I would be in for 6.

Re: WTK: Anyone interested in REPRO PROTECTOSCOPES?
I have one pretty useful one and I think two bad ones stored, so put me down for 1 or 2 depending on price.
After this project how about working on some Ground Signal Projectors, Dan?
