Veigel Tachometer Questions

Post by Electrons » Tue Feb 07, 2017 8:07 pm

Hello guys,

I recently acquired a Veigel Tachometer as used on ww2 german halftracks, panzers, stugs, and some opel trucks.

Does anyone in the states work on these?

And secondly, does anyone know how to take the back off? There appears to be a circular locking nut with a locking screw. Being completely circular, none of my standard tools will turn it after the locking screw is removed. But there are two holes on both sides of the locking nut. I suspect there is a proprietary Veigel tool that goes in the two holes.

I'd like to take it off the right way. There aren't too many of these around. So no man handling :)
