I show that I installed Champion J10 Y plugs - only available from dealers with NOS stock. I am replacing the transmission to transfer case u-joints. The big u-joints are Spicer 5-115X models - still available at approx. $40 each.

I have operated for 20 years under the assumption that the shock absorbers on the M8/M20 are unique to that vehicle. I found a NOS set when I rebuilt mine in 2000.

Look what comes out of the SKF N1171 throw out bearing box. It is an Atnea bearing model no. A2526. This part fits nicely.

Have an M8 in the shop this time. I will be sure to add any parts we find that cross over on this nut and bolt restoration.

Maarten,

You have a dual action AC fuel filter that fits the JXD motor. The M8 & M20 used them.

Thanks

Matt

Hi SteveM8 and others,

I need a brake master cylinder kit for an original Wagner Lockheed M8 master cylinder. Can you please confirm the Raybestos MK175 as listed above is the correct kit?

I see some resellers have kits on Ebay that are listed as specifically for the M8/M20 but they are twice the price of the Raybestos MK175 kits on Ebay.

Thanks.

MK-175 is a really common kit, and I think I still have a spare NOS master brake cylinder if you need it.

Thanks Steve. I just wanted to be sure it was the correct kit. I've had my master cylinder stainless steel sleeved. Now I just need the kit to finish it off.

Thanks for your help.

If anyone needs any parts for M8/M20 let me know I have an abundance of parts. Contact www.taylorstracks1.com and email us at taylorstracks1@gmail.com.

For brake cylinders, clutch slave cylinders, master cylinders, as well as the old large type 2 hydrovacs we can rebuild them
All with correct boots, and seals made to fit.

My shop number is 727-902-2786
