I have mounted the M-49 type several times and I have allways found that ( if memory serves ),you loosen all of the rollers andremove the bottom ones to mount it . Set it on the track and adjust the rollers till they slightlly make contact with the track or ring. Just keep adjusting till it moves like it should.

i managed to get it on finally after venting some frustration
its goes on easy over the right hand door on the rail
but now its too tight to move left or right around the track can it be, adjusted if so how ?
this is even with the trolley brake taken off

The rail need to be greased. Loosen the rollers slightly to allow the trolley to move. Once you find the sweet spot, tighten the rollers. My home mad trolley works better on the rail than my original trolley. 8)

Did you ever manage to get it rolling? I am about to start my trolley installation. Any tips? Thanks, Rob.

I bought a vehicle with a ring mount and skate trolley had the same problem your having. Luck would have it i had an original ring from another project, try the trolley on it and it worked just fine. Im assuming the first ring was a repro.
