source for instrument bezels

Post by G503GPW1945 » Sun Jan 28, 2018 5:20 am

Trying to restore instruments for a 45 GPW. Need to find a source for the bezels (if such a thing exists). The speedo can is rusted through, too. Any ideas? (Or just harvest from later models?)

I was looking for one also. I searched for along time and was unable to find any usable bezels by themselves.

I ended up finding a broken original speedo that I was able get the bezel from. I gave away the rest of the speedo to another member.

I had hopes of finding an older civilian speedo to use the bezel for my WW2 unit. But, I found the original complete unit before I found a comparable civilian.

I did talk to another G503 member at the Pleasanton Convention who told me NOS or repops had been made in the past. I could never find one of them.

Good luck with your search. Please let us know if you locate any.
