Hello
I am looking for a repro rear seat pan for MB and/or GPW.
I have a couple of seats I want to restore and I do not need the whole seat. Just the pan.
A couple of years ago somebody was looking for this also:

At that time he did find something but I can not find it anymore. European supplier or shop would be best.
Thanks
Hans

Re: Repro rear seat pan?
I would check with the Joe's Motor Pool guys in the UK. They make panels, etc.

Re: Repro rear seat pan?
Hello Chuck
Thank you for the reaction.
I did check with Staman in the Netherlands. They are a Joe Motor pool distributor for the Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg)
No reaction yet.
I am very surprised about the fact that these pans are so difficult to get. For front seats they exist.
I think most original rear seats have a rusted out pans and need some repair panel.
Maybe selling a whole new repro seat makes more money, but I prefer to restore the original seat even if it would cost (almost) the same as a whole new seat. I believe I am not alone.
Unfortunately I am not (yet) a good metal worker who can make the panels from scratch . I am contemplating giving it a try though.
Greetings
Hans

Re: Repro rear seat pan?
Hello
Just to give you some info about what I did.
I did order the replacement pan from Augum in Austria.
It looks good, but unfortunately it is for a GPW rear seat which has a different construction than an MB one.
I did not know that before ordering (As I do have a GPW that needs a rear seat I will be able to use it if I can find a GPW rear seat frame )
More info about the difference between GPW and MB rear seat in the following:
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=292171
Anybody with a GPW rear seat that he or she wants to sell?
Greetings
Hans
