Front diff cover plate -

Post by S McIlwaine » Fri Sep 08, 2017 11:06 am

bought a spare axle but missing internals and cover don't know if the axle should have pressed or cast version? One on my jeep is pressed but not fussy for the spare. Is the front cover plate the same as the rear?

The type of differential cover (cast or pressed) which your vehicles requires (factory) depends on your vehicle's DoD.

Yes, the covers would have been the same type on your jeep when it left the factory.
