Expensive Mule for sale on ebay

Post by Auto Shop teacher » Sat Dec 09, 2017 8:50 am

This is one of the A5 mules converted to 4WS by Military Mules of America, and I can only imagine what the reserve will be. Looks great. https://www.ebay.com/itm/M274-Mechanica ... 3j&vxp=mtr

He states he has only put 20 hours on his mule in the last 10 years. Geez, I put more time than that on my mule during 5 days of 'Day out with Thomas the Tank Engine' last month at our railroad museum. Sounds like a hanger queen to me.

Yes it does and all that sitting around hasn't done it any favors either.

A friend of mine just bought one that is just as nice. The only thing was his didn't have the second seat. This had it all, new paint, tires, rebuilt engine, 4WS and everything was nice. He paid $4800.
What a deal!!!

Expensive is right, there are nice mules out there for a lot less, Too bad Mechanical Mules got a hold of all those parts, they certainly jack up the prices, I just wonder how they stay in business with there high prices.

It seems like the seller got a reality check on what is a realistic price for his mule. It would appear from his ad that he is paying top dollar on everything he has done on his mule. From as little use as he has gotten from it, sounds like a money pit to me.

Thats called 'Shill Bidding', and while ebay forbids it, I suspect that they don't look too hard into any complaints as eBay's cut is 10% of the sale price. I bid on a one lunger carburetor years ago and the shill bidder got too greedy and outbid me, when the auction was over, the seller offered me a carburetor " just like the one in the auction" at my highest price. How nice of him.......

If that's the case, hopefully one of his friends/shills wins the auction....

Old ebay must be licking their chops on what they are going to make on that auction, it is now over $11,800.00. Why doesn't my stuff sell like this?
