Brisbane Tour Trip # 1880

For the many MJCQ members not addicted to the profitable Americanised social media scene, could we by our own great forum, report on a well organized club trip?

This club outing on Sunday, 01 Oct 17 was arranged by stalwarts Michael Bishop and Emiel Huizer; both renowned for helping in any club activities that would interest and assist members.
As in the many past trips arranged by these two great blokes, this one was very enjoyable, not to mention educational.
The trip involved visiting WW2 sites where Igloo buildings still exist, also an air raid shelter at a Woolloongabba derelict hotel in it`s original bomb proof state. It`s sad to realise that soon these historic buildings will soon fall to the wrecker and more WW2 history will be gone to no doubt high rise apartments.

No head or vehicle count was taken by us, but an estimate of 12 MV and private vehicles would be fair, as it was crowded at Nudgee beach smoko break and late lunch at Nigel Wards MV Spares.

Many thanks to Michael and Emiel for the research and effort involved in organizeing yet another of their well respected trips.
