This photo seems to show that the horse hair around the radiator deflectors is a dark color and not light .
Any comments?

Richard thanks for the input.
It is my impression that the repro. ones commonly seen are light and might not be the correct color. With use and time they darken a little but not to the darkness seen in the photo.

I have the "light" looking material around my radiator but the original was dark. I pulled off pieces of dark horsehair like material when I first did the job. Now I am trying to see if it darkens with age and exposure to road dirt but I don't think it will.

I saw one SG with the light colored felt that had been sprayed OD and that looked nice but still I don't think it was correct.
