I saw that too...
I also saw the bezel was pretty pitted
Then the rear photo shows the heavily pitted case with a hole(s) in it.
Be prepared for the internals to not work and at the very least the case should be replaced.
Oh, and you know the mounting studs for the GAS are thicker than for the later FUEL gauges, right?
