Hi G-Guys,

I have a question... which is the difference between the "Steel" Pintle and the "STL" Pintle?

My question is driven by the fact that I've just bought a "STL" Pintle.....

Awating your precious replies....!

Best Regards,

Luigi

Hi Robert,

My pintle hook has the same "STL" dimensions of the Ken Clay's Pintle hook posted in the first page of this Topic.

The only difference compared to Ken Clay's Pintle hook is that my "STL" is not upside down.

Best Regards,

Luigi

So there is some evidence that a transition may have occured from STEEL to STL marked hooks between slats I00596 and II8513? :D
Anybody else?
Thanks,
Andy Lang
I dont think anyone answered this question. I have found a "STL" marked hook and am wondering if its early enough to use on

I also found a Pintle with STL on the bottom jaw, passenger side. Would this be too early for my January 5, 1943 MB200366??

Lets see some. Feel free to post some photos with some prices and your whereabouts.

And while we are on the subject, I have a STL lower Jaw that would love to have an upper latch. If anyone has a bad lower JAW or has a spare upper latch, we should talk. :) I mean that is like finding a needle in a haystack right? I am also interested in trading for a "STEEL" one. I have an F marked pintle to trade.

I contacted him ages ago - I don't think he looks at that inbox anymore

STL is easier to find. I need a STEEL one if anyone has one available!!
