WTB Tri Ang Gas Can

Post by pjones » Mon Jan 27, 2014 4:19 pm

Guys,
I am hoping someone might have an original Tri Ang gas can to go with my jeep. The one picture is a plastic bottle painted OD. It works but a real one would make it complete. If you have one to sell, please let me know.

I came your post today Phil. I've always wanted one of these but they're so expensive! I presume you've found your jerry can and seen this website:

Thanks Cliff! That looks great and much better than the plastic bottle I currently have. At the time the picture was taken there was still some room for the jeep. Now it is squeezed in a corner behind tools.

25 or 30 years ago I had a Tri-Ang jeep with the original jerry can. If I remember correctly, the jerry can was very similar to a German can in both appearance and method of construction.

If you have access to a spot welder and some basic sheet metal tools it wouldn't be difficult to make one like the ones shown on the pedal car guy website.

Brian,
Thanks for the advice. No doubt it would better than my plastic OD bottle.
