1/6 M1 Tank Sound modification

Post by W. Winget » Mon Jan 31, 2011 5:07 am

I had to move the old 1/6th scale M1 out of the closet last night and hit the on switch, the silly radial Stewart engine sound kicked in.
Bottom line, did anyone ever come up with a modification or fix for the 1/6th M1 Abhrams sound effects to hear a turbine start up or move? Is there a retrofit kit someone sells?
Been saving it for my Son to get older, he's now 8, so maybe just a few more years...

You would probably have to junk the original control boards, fit 'proper' R/C gear and fit a Benedini sound board. Expensive, but you get what you pay for with this kind of stuff. http://www.benedini.de/Home_E/Products_ ... cts_e.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
