If you are asking about the Dragon 1:6 Jeep, I asked the same question, it apparently does not include the engine. Just an empty compartment.

Here's a good thread explaining the availability of the engine.

I see them on eBay now, as low as around $75. They’re not that expensive and apparently includes a decal sheet for the hood markings, which I really like. But is this a “glue together” kit or just the same Jeep that came in the box from Dragon, only not assembled? In other words, do you screw it together and would it be as study as the “in the box” model once you’re done with it?
If I bought one, I’d almost surely make it up to look like Bill Mauldin’s “Issued” Jeep…

was told by Yannis that a company names Lion Roar precision model kits may make the engine kits. I started putting one of my jeeps together sooo cool! :D

Eddie, Are they "close" to a GPW or is it pure Willys?

I have just got one of these kits & they are closer to Willys than Ford, but my first impression is to make a decent accurate model a lot of work is needed.

Can take & add photos if you like.

Hi John,

Are the dimensions pretty much correct?

I wouldn't mind a photo if it's not much trouble.

I haven't meassured the kit against my Jeep but the kit dimensions look ok by eye, here are a couple of (very rushed) photos which may help.

My verdict after a quick look is that out of the box it will be ok, do some extra work & it could be great, if an engine kit become available as an after market purchase it will need a fair bit done to the rest of the engine compartment.

There is at least one vendor I know of who is doing custom peel off stencils so you can mark your model like your real one, which would be pretty neat.
Hope the photos helped.

Say, does the sides of the kit have the 'rim' that goes around the top edge all around the body from the dash back? The real Jeeps have a lip formed (must be so one wouldn't cut their hands open climbing in and out or leaning on the body...) all around the upper edge of the body that is hollowed out underneath. I couldn't tell since the picture above has both sides facing out rather than in. I am hoping that rim is there on a kit of such large scale, but maybe it's too hard to mold? ~Mark

Hi Mark,

I will check it out & get back to you, I haven't started the kit yet, I am still busy with my 1-1 scale Jeep
