Radio Power Cable Connection Question

Post by RockHillWill » Thu Feb 01, 2018 3:09 am

I have the grommet and clamp, and have opened the hole in the floor to run the power cable to the battery connections on the side of the battery box. Connecting the ground cable was no problem, but in trying to connect the positive cable, there is a huge amount of some sort of sealant. It is black and messy as heck. Any tips on what to use to clean that stuff off the wire ends? What is that material and where can I obtain it? Thanks!

I have a huge blob of that too. I still have to clean it up.

Connect them both to terminals on the starter motor.
