easy way to bypass heater?

Post by ohiohmmwv » Sat Nov 25, 2017 11:14 am

I’m in the process of ripping out the old heater system but would like to still have my truck driveable without spilling antifreeze all over the place. Is there any easy way to bypass the heater lines?

Just plug the heater hose back to itself where it leaves the block and where it goes back in. That will complete the circuit and bypass the heater core. It’s easy.

another easy way is to buy a shut off valve at your local parts store. It has 2 barbs for the hoses to slip on and a valve to stop flow. Just need to measure hose id 5/8 or 3/4. Don't recall which. Autozone, O'reilly, advance etc should stock in house.
