Has anyone picked up a Humvee in Indianapolis?
My EUC was approved this past Tuesday and I made the arrangements to pick it up. Seems very odd. Just wondered how it went for others in Indy.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I was given a 2 hour window on a single day to pick up. Then when I couldn’t make that time he conveniently had friends business down the road that could take possession, and I could pick up from him anytime. BTW - that will cost me $125.Action wrote:What seems odd? That you have to pick it up? or ???

Call and speak to GP management. They don't tolerate that kind of BS. The window for pick up can be limited but the referral deal sounds very fishy.

I think they are third party holding sites. Juans advice sounds like a good first step.

All went well picking up the humvee in Indianapolis today. I still think a single 2 hour window to pick up is BS, and the $125 to the guy down the road to pick up the next business day I was available was also BS - but what can you do. The guy was friendly at least and the humvee is awesome. Better than I expected from the GP pictures. I think I have the MV fever...

Did you contact GP and tell them the same thing?

I never contacted them at all about the situation. I probably should.

Re: Has anyone picked up a Humvee in Indianapolis?
I can pretty clearly picture this whole situation as I had done it myself. It's where I picked up my HMMWV. There's a mechanic shop right next door to the storage yard that has a wrecker service. For me, this was a great boon as I needed my HMMWV transported to my house as it was a non-runner and I had no equipment to move it. The guy certainly does run small pickup windows, but was very nice and talkative while I was there, and we arranged for the place next door to move my HMMWV. The shop next door picked up my HMMWV after I finished inspecting it and dropped it right in my driveway about 25 miles away for all of $100 total. I felt like I got a pretty good deal, but I don't think I would want to pay $125 just for someone to move it 1-2 lots over for me to be able to pick it up later...
