Hi dodge member
I am restoring an wc 51 dodge engine it's half way done.
I will like to know what year is this engine built.
Block number is a T214--i9520i
Side bottom block number is 1071829
But I found another number on the front side of the block has a plate date year with 2 screws on it says 7.17.44 is that the year it was made or is it mean rebuilt. I check the other few engine and none of them have the plates date on them.
Any one know what year it is
Thanks looking forward hearing from you guys
Cheers Peter

Re: What year is this engine.
Any plate attached to the engine would have been put there after original manufacture, so it is a rebuild plate.

A T214 is a WWII Dodge WC 3/4 ton motor
If the number is 195201, that would make is a 1944 block

Thank you for your help Ernie and dpcd67.
