Telephone Truck Body for Sale

Post by m37-man » Sun Jul 30, 2017 4:18 pm

Telephone truck body/bed for sale, suitable for your 1/2 or 3/4 ton Dodge restoration. Manufactured 1958 by Highway Trailer Company, same manufacturer as some WW2 telephone bodies. Bought for a 3/4 WC restoration but wheelbase was too short, telephone repair trucks were built on long wheelbase (ambulance) chassis. Multiple small locking compartments on each side (no key), plus large double doors in rear and ladder racks on top. Some dings and dents in body, but no significant rust. Ladder rack locking mechanism needs some work if you want to use it, easily removed with some bolts if you don't. Bed/body currently mounted on a trailer chassis, makes it a little easier to move around. Located in east of San Diego, will work with you if shipping needed. $500 or best.

Will try to post some larger pics next week.
